Hiking in Samoa is so vastly different to most other countries, even those in the South Pacific. The excursions here vary from several hundred metres of extremely steep climbing up multiple zigzags to 10km or more through lush rainforest and plantations. Several things in common here are extreme humidity, heat, often lots of mud and lava rocks. Day hikes normally won’t exceed 4 hours but the destinations are so utterly spectacular and unique, ranging from volcanic crater lakes, lava tubes to lava sea cliffs and arches. Waterfalls, swimming holes and beaches abound and are an integral part of our adventures…….you just have to cool off, several times a day.
